Growth in net profit of 33%
The Cosentino Group reached a revenue of €901million in 2017, which was a 10% increase in sales from 2016. It also achieved EBITDA of €128million, which corresponded to a 19% increase in profitability from the previous year.
According to Cosentino, the profitability was proportionally greater than the revenue growth, due to absorption of fixed costs. As a result, net profit reached €57million, a growth of 33% more than 2016.
The company has already invested just over half (52%) of its €380million planned investments, with the majority (70%) in product growth, such as the opening of a second Dekton plant.

In addition, Cosentino reports it invested into automation of existing factories for product diversification and to increase production flexibility and speed at its main factory and HQ in Almeria, Spain.
The group continued its expansion around the world, with the opening of seven Cosentino Centres (warehouses) and two Cosentino Cities (showrooms), adding to its existing Cosentino Cities such as London.
It means the company now has 140 business units in 32 countries, across five continents and plans to open a further 30 business units, including Centres and Cities. Cosentino currently employs more than 4,000 people worldwide.
