Major domestic appliance manufacturer Haier Europe has opened an activation centre for training engineers at Birchwood Park, Warrington.

Haier Europe opens Training Activation Centre

It is the third unit on the site for the company, which includes the brands Haier, Candy, Hoover and GE Appliances, having been resident at the business park since 2018.

The Training Activation Centre follows the opening of its Brand Activation Centre in 2020, a showroom featuring 140 appliances with separate sections for its brands and chef’s theatre for cooking demonstrations.

Service director at Haier Europe Andy Lane commented: “Haier Europe’s new unit at Birchwood Park is a training activation centre, where skilled engineers will be trained in the company’s latest products and technology.

“This training will enable them to provide a top-class service when our customers call us with any queries.”

Andy Lane added, “This is Haier’s third unit in Birchwood Park and we are delighted with our latest expansion.

“We look forward to training our engineers in this new unit and we are delighted to be centring these units in Birchwood Park as we continue to grow our strong relationship with the Park.”

Among those attending the launch were CEO Haier Europe UK & ROI David Meyerowitz, Service director Haier Europe UK & ROI Andy Lane, General Manager Haier Europe Yan Xiaoming and CEO Warrington Council Stephen Broomhead.

Haier has recently partnered with Waterline, to grow appliance sales through the kitchen specialist channel.
