Haier ranked No.1 in global major appliances for 14th year

For the 14th consecutive year, Haier has been ranked number one in the global, major domestic appliance market, according to Euromonitor.

For the 14th consecutive year, Haier has been ranked number one in the global, major domestic appliance market, according to the annual Euromonitor International report.

Haier named No. 1 in Global Major Appliances for 14th year

According to the appliance manufacturer, it achieved this result thanks to sales of the brand’s smart solutions, such as refrigerators, washing machines, freezers, and wine coolers.

The sales performance in these four categories marks the 15th consecutive year, the group has ranked first for cooling appliances, the 14th for washing appliances, the 13th for wine coolers, and the 12th consecutive for freezers.

The Haier group includes the brands Haier, Candy, Hoover and Hotpoint.

For over 30 years, the company has been working within the sector of connected home appliances and, according to the group, it has 40% market share of this sector.

Speaking at its One Vision conference in 2022, CEO of Haier Europe Yannick Fierling stated: “We want to have 100% of our appliances connected between themselves and also with third parties, creating value, generating revenue and generating profit.”

As a central part of its strategy and to drive futher growth, the group has adopted a “zero distance to consumer”, leaving control of the business to the individual markets.

The Haier Group has outlined ambitions to be number one appliance group in the UK, by the end of this year, and to be in the top three position in Europe by 2026.
