Kelda Showers has won the Sustainable Innovations Competition, organised by Lloyds Banking Group and Wates Group, to champion and pioneer emerging green tech innovators in the UK.
The competition invited green tech innovators and providers of low carbon solutions to showcase their products for the chance to become a Lloyds Banking Group supplier.
Kelda was one of five businesses selected from over 200 applications with its Air-Powered shower and BubbleSpa which uses water and air technology, to reduce carbon emissions, water consumption and energy usage.

The competition aligns to Lloyds’ ambition to reach net zero carbon operations by 2030 and the Wates Group to be net zero by 2045.
Since 2018, the partnership has seen eight sustainable technologies piloted by Lloyds, including one that reduces water use by 85% per year.
As one of the winners, Kelda has now become an official Innovation Partner through Wates Innovation Network (WIN) Portal, a network of market-leading sustainable technologies and services.
Marketing Director at Kelda Paul Ravnbo-West said: “We are thrilled to be given this exciting opportunity.
“It is an honour to be joining an impressive list of past winning companies, and we look forward to working with the teams at Lloyds and Wates to help them achieve their zero carbon targets.”
Dr Zainab Dangana, head of sustainable technology services at Wates, said: “When we launched our WIN Portal in 2021, it was with an ambition to keep building the network through collaborative partnerships with our customers.
“The WIN Portal is designed to connect the very best, and potentially lesser known, technologies with the built environment to move us all closer to net zero.”
Daniel Coakley, sustainability manager at Lloyds Banking Group added: “It’s been amazing to see the quality and number of applicants we’ve had for this year’s competition.
“It’s testament to the innovation we’re seeing across the UK, as companies develop impactful green technology solutions.
“We’re very much looking forward to working with this year’s winners to support us with our own ambitious sustainability goals.”
