Interior Design Studio Pippa Paton Design scooped the KBB category in the recent Society of British & International Design (SBID) Awards.
Designed for a Grade II listed Cotswold manor, Pippa Paton Design created a sanctuary which combined 21st centry style and functionality.
The design not only celebrated the building’s fabric but also the owner’s love of wood.

Timber was used for all joinery and flooring, set against a backdrop of white walls and furnishings.
The double height suite, with a alabaster sculpture as its focal point, incorporated a bedroom, ensuite, dressing room, sitting area, library and glass-floored, mezzanine-level study, all with views of the garden.
A bespoke oak bed and headboard, walnut fronted wardrobes, sculptural teak bath and T-shaped teak ‘pod’ housing the shower and vanities complemented the exposed, honey-coloured stone walls and oak beams.
SBID reported on the winning design: “The overall design, with exposed historic fabric, fused with contemporary materials and high-end fittings, has resulted in a truly unique sanctuary.”
