Ex-display and second hand kitchen retailer The Used Kitchen Company (TUKC) has celebrated its 15th anniversary with an expansion of its team, recent award success and plans to evolve its Kitchen Passport.
The Used Kitchen Company was founded in 2005 by CEO Looeeze Grossman to prevent kitchen furniture entering landfill.
She now works with over 1000 showrooms across the UK, helping to sell their displays and saving kitchens from being skipped unnecessarily.

In 2020, she created the Kitchen Passport, which facilitates kitchen recycling by providing a kbb version of a car logbook for furniture.
The scheme, which was launched in response to the Government’s Resources & Waste Strategy, was launched at kbbBirmingham and led to the expansion of the company with two members of staff.
The Kitchen Passport has recently been awarded a Northern Marketing Award for Best Retail (Online or Offline) Marketing Campaign.
It adds to the PRCA DARE Award North, which it won in August 2020 and the Northern Marketing Award accolade in 2019.
Most recently, The Used Kitchen Company has pledged to donate to trade association the Kbsa for every kitchen sold during lockdown.
Looeeze Grossman spoke of her plans over the coming months: “We have come so far since devising the concept and business model for used kitchen recycling 15 years ago, but we must not rest on our laurels.
“The rise of green consumerism means our concept is more relevant than ever before, both for the homeowner and the showroom that needs to align its vision with that of buyers.
“We shall keep devising new ways in which trade partners can boost their green credentials by working with us and being part of our award-winning marketing campaigns.”
