Premium Scandinavian appliance brand Asko has expanded its UK sales team, with senior appointments, as it looks to grow and build on awareness in the country.

Premium Scandinavian appliance brand Asko has expanded its UK sales team, with senior appointments, as it looks to grow and build on awareness in the country.

Michael Hardwick has joined the company as head of sales and Peter Jarvis has been named as national account manager, with a focus on electrical retail.

Jarvis has over 20 years of experience in the domestic appliances industry, having previously worked for the likes of Smeg UK, Montpellier Domestic Appliances, BSH Home Appliances, and Salter Housewares.

In his new role, he will be responsible for managing existing accounts in electrical retail with a focus on Euronics HQ and key members, as well as Appliance City and Marks Electrical.

Commenting on his move, Peter Jarvis said: “It’s great to be on board and I’m looking forward to using my experience and knowledge to shape the future of the business in the UK within the ERT sector and having a real positive impact on this fantastic brand.

“I’m excited to have some fun with the retailer base along the way as we build the brand, continue to improve results, and maintain strong lasting relationships.”

Michael Hardwick has worked for leading premium appliance brands, Miele, and Fisher & Paykel, where he spent the past two years employed as UK sales manager.

Commenting on his new position, Michael said: “I am proud to be joining the Asko team, and I am excited that it’s in the early stages of the brand’s development in the UK.

“In my short time here already, I have been impressed with the enthusiasm and passion of the team to bring this amazing brand to market and I’m really looking forward to being creative in determining our route to customers, working together with retailers and industry partners to gain the insight needed to grow the business and taking this brand from strength to strength.”
