Commenting on his appointment, Smy said, “I’m looking forward to joining V-ZUG and working for such a prestigious and inspiring brand.
“I’m excited to start working with the product range and to get out and start training engineers and assisting customers throughout the country.”
He succeeds his father Graham Smy, who is retiring from the role after 11 years.
Managing director of V-ZUG UK David Knight said: “We’re very grateful to Graham for his experience and knowledge in our service team for the past 11 years and we wish him all the best in his retirement.
“We are very excited to have Martin on board to help drive the growth plan in the UK over the next five years and to be an integral part of our UK team.
“The service that we provide to our customers and partners drives everything that we do, and Martin will be a fantastic member of the team to underpin our company values.”
The UK team has started its journey on a targeted five-year growth plan and plans to open the first flagship Zugorama showroom in London.
