Designed by Brazilian architect Ruy Ohtake is a self-titled countertop basin range, which has been created for bathroom manufacturer Roca.

The form has taken inspiration from nature, such as the shape of waves and curves of an egg, to create a sculptured collection of basins.

Available in two designs, the Ruy Ohtake collection comes in a choice of six colours including White, Matt White, Pearl, Onyx, Beige and Coffee.

To achieve the slim aesthetics, the range is made from Fineceramic which produces thin edges measuring 5mm thick and allows for production of pieces up to 40% lighter.

Ruy Ohtake washbasins are complemented by Roca’s Savana countertops, offering contemporary open storage, as an alternative to a vanity unit.

Already presented two awards, Ruy Ohtake by Roca has won an International Design Award (IDA) and a Red Dot Award ‘best of best’.

The Roca Group has recently invested in a sanitaryware factory in Brazil, which will come into operation in May 2021.
