Working in collaboration with Karim Rashid, Italian bathroom manufacturer Glass Design has unveiled the Lap Plus washstand.
It features a concentric circle pattern, that ripples out in an elliptical formation to echo the oval lines of the basin.
Available in white on black or black on white, the basin is manufactured from VetroFreddo, a material composed of glass pigments and resin.

The washstand structure is in Matt Black painted stainless steel, features adjustable feet and comes with a towel holder and integrated shelf.
There is also a matching 600mm mirror and wall shelf, in painted steel, available to complement the Lap Plus washstand.
Glass Design also recently revealed the freestanding Dame washbasin designed by Vicenzo Missanelli.
Founded in 1984 by the Borsellini family, Glass Design is located in Vinci in Tuscany, Italy.
The company employs more than 200 artisans and 15 glass makers in Murano to work in production, and its products are exported to around 60 countries worldwide.
Sintered stone manufacturer Neolith has launched Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset, inspired by nature and classical architecture, and for use in kitchens or bathrooms walls, floors, in gardens or facades.
They belong to The New Classtone and Fusioncollections which interpret marble and natural stone, respectively, and boast Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology.
Inspired by Ancient Rome, Calacatta Roma (pictured top) pays homage to Italian Carrara marble, with ochre and grey veins in a white background.
While the Cappadocia region, in central Turkey, with its rock formations formed by volcanoes and underground cities, has inspired Cappadocia Sunset (pictured below).
Just like all of Neolith’s surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are resistant to heat and atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not contain added quartz to their formulation.
