Freestanding bath and basin manufacturer Victoria + Albert has launched three colour palettes in collaboration with Wallpaper magazine.
Compiled by Wallpaper editor-in-chief Sarah Douglas, the three new palettes have been chosen to represent three moods: Wavelengths, Dune Retreat and Light Industrielle.
Wavelengths is a deep, inky ocean blue, whereas Dune Retreat echoes the “challenging climate conditions of arid environments and extreme temperatures”.

Light Industrielle is a tonal range that is urban, powerful and utilitarian and is “metallic, robust and minimalist.”
It draws references from contemporary architecture and classical industrial designs, with a palette based on raw building materials such as timber, steel and glass.
These colour palettes complete a range of nearly 200 RAL colours on offer across Victoria + Albert Baths, entire portfolio.
Wallpaper editor-in-chief Sarah Douglas commented on the choice of palettes: “The emotional impact of colour has a new relevance.
“These colour palettes have been created to help shape our mood, improve our wellbeing and bring light into our day-to-day lives.”
Brand manager at Victoria + Albert Baths Emma Joyce said: “Colour has become an integral part of the modern day bathroom.
“We believe an increase in the need to create a sanctuary at home has played a part here, colour evokes emotion and creates personality.
“We are thrilled to be announcing this new trio of colour palettes with Wallpaper and feel the narrative really brings our colour philosophy to life.”
Victoria + Albert introduced a collection of coloured basins, in gloss and matt finishes, on the exterior surfaces.
