Manufacturer of HI-MACS solid surface LG Hausys has changed its name to LX Hausys, following approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held in Seoul, South Korea.
The company name change follows the incorporation of LG Hausys, LG International, Silicon Works and LG MMA into the LX Group, which was established by Koo Bon-joon.
Koo Bon-joon has experience of growing other LG Group affiliate businesses and is the third son of the late honorary chairman Koo Cha-kyung and brother of the late LG Group chairman Koo Bon-moo.

LX Holdings Corp is a spin off from the South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer LG Group.
According to the company, the change will allow it to invest in the European market while retaining its link to “the innovative spirit” of LG.
The name change will not affect customer or business operations and its product portfolio will remain in place.
LX Hausys unveiled its company logo which comprises a red square symbol “a re-imagination of the parent company’s heritage” with a curved white line within it.
The Lucky Linked Wave symbolises the link to a sustainable future, with the letters L which stands for Link and X which denotes “the infinite possibilities for a sustainable future.”
HI-MACS recently launched a virtual showroom to allow designers and architects to explore the material’s use across a variety of applications.
