Swedish furniture manufacturer Nobia has signed an agreement to acquire Superfront, a direct-to-consumer business that designs and sells kitchens and components.
Established in Sweden in 2013, Superfront has built brand awareness through digital and social media marketing, and achieved net sales of SEK65million in 2021 with a double-digit operating margin.
The online business sells products almost entirely online across Europe.

President and CEO of Nobia Jon Sintorn commented: “By acquiring Superfront, we are strengthening our digital marketing and online sales capabilities across Europe and will gain further access to the attractive market for circular design within the kitchen and storage market.
“Renowned for its design with a strong emphasis on sustainability and contributing with solid financials, Superfront will be a good addition to the Nobia portfolio of strong brands.2
Founders of Superfront Monica and Mick Born said: “Superfront has been a success since we founded the company eight years ago and we are very pleased with what we have achieved so far.
“As we enter the next phase of Superfront’s development we are very excited to join Nobia, which can provide the scale and expertise we need to further grow the company across Europe.”
Nobia has manufacturing and sales in seven countries and is divided into Nordic, UK and Central Europe markets.
It reported sales of SEK 3,215million for Q3 of 2021, representing a 3% growth on the same period of 2020, growing organically in Europe but “softer” sales in the UK caused by a shortage of installers and drivers.
Superfront will be consolidated in the Central Europe region from mid-January 2022.
