Bathroom manufacturer BC Designs has reported its best year to date in 2021, exceeding its growth targets, despite another challenging year due to the pandemic.
According to the company, product launches, enhanced customer service offering, and a new storage facility helped the company increase turnover by 30% and provide a “notable” rise in profit.
The company has reinvested a “significant” portion of its profit into its service offering, including a new warehouse and painting facility to improve its lead times across its product portfolio.

BC Designs also initiated a price freeze, so retailers were able to supply their customers at an increased profit margin during this time.
Standout products that helped drive an increase in sales has been its copper boat collections, with a 40% increase in sales and the company is launching several new models including antiqued and Verdigris options in 2022.
The company also recently introduced a marble-effect finish for all its Cian solid surface baths.
Managing director BC Designs Darren Allison said: “On a business level, 2021 was a great year for BC Designs.
“We spent 2020 refocusing our efforts and producing a business plan that put is on the right footing to cope with what 2021 was likely to bring.
“It meant that we were able to look at cost savings to better support our retailers, while also ensuring we continued to develop our product portfolio.
“The result was not only an increase in turnover, but a rise in probability and a 30% increase in staff workforce.”
He continued: “We have even bigger plans for 2022 as we launch our first ceramics and furniture collections, with further warehouses and workshops in planning at the moment so we can continue to increase the stock we’re able to hold to reduce lead times which remain troublesome for the industry.”
