Bathroom manufacturer Duravit has been presented five honours for product and communication design at the German Design Awards 2023.
The company was crowned winner three times, received two special mentions, and won one Gold award.
Duravit was presented the winner for its Tulum tap by Philippe Starck, its first recyclable shower tray Sustano.

In addition, its tap brochure featuring the company’s range of taps and shower heads was also announced the winner of the Excellent Communication Design category.
The manufacturer also received a special mention for its communications campaign and in the Excellent Communications Design – Integrated Campaigns and Advertising category for its complete bathroom series Duravit No.1.
The Duravit Design Days 2022, a digital event where the company presented its product launches for 2022, also received a special mention.
The Gold design award was presented to Zencha, a complete bathroom series created by designer Sebastian Herkner, in the category “Excellent Product Design – Bath and Wellness”.
Sintered stone manufacturer Neolith has launched Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset, inspired by nature and classical architecture, and for use in kitchens or bathrooms walls, floors, in gardens or facades.
They belong to The New Classtone and Fusioncollections which interpret marble and natural stone, respectively, and boast Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology.
Inspired by Ancient Rome, Calacatta Roma (pictured top) pays homage to Italian Carrara marble, with ochre and grey veins in a white background.
While the Cappadocia region, in central Turkey, with its rock formations formed by volcanoes and underground cities, has inspired Cappadocia Sunset (pictured below).
Just like all of Neolith’s surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are resistant to heat and atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not contain added quartz to their formulation.
