Appliance brand Smeg has announced the launch of its first ever black matte induction hob.
It joins the company’s contemporary matte black collection which comprises built-in ovens, warming drawers and small domestic appliances.
The matte black induction hob features Auto-Vent 2.0 technology, which allows the hob to be connected via Bluetooth to compatible Smeg hoods.

It allows the hood to automatically adjust its power in response to the hob, creating a hands-free cooking experience.
Operated by Evo Slider, the Matte Black hob has a grill function, allowing users to grill meat, fish and vegetables using a grillplate.
It also boasts the Eco-Logic Advance feature to fine tune power consumption of the hob from 2.4kW to 11.1kW
Completing the specification, the matte black induction hob boasts a treated surface, which Smeg claims hardens the glass to decrease the likelihood of scratches and abrasions.
