Showroom manager at Halcyon Interiors Graham Robinson shares his four highlights from the recent Kbb Birmingham exhibition
There was certainly a great build up to this year’s KBB show in Birmingham, so I was excited to be going.
As always, there was lots to see, lots of details to look at, as well as loads of industry colleagues to speak to. Here I’ve picked some of my highlights from the show.

Handle choice
There were lots of handles on displays and individual manufactures showing them too.
I particularly liked those from Furnipart, presented by LDL. The edge pull handles come in lots of colours and the wooden handles felt amazing to the touch.

Kitchen resales
We have always commissioned the services of The Used Kitchen Company, but this year the message at the fore was selling clients existing kitchens, not just displays.
It has two-fold benefits not only improving your green credentials but also giving you more budget to play with for the new kitchen.

Lighting use
The prominent accessory wall from Rotpunkt, with integrated lighting, was simple yet an effective solution with a huge number of panel options.
It could be used not only in the kitchen but in other rooms too, so it was great to transition from one area to another or used in bar situation.
For something completely new we loved the new Era by Aga. They have reinvented a classic, with the cooker now fronted in glass and trimmed with chrome, and it looks stunning!
