Part of its K7000 built-in refrigeration collection, Miele has introduced ActiveDoor which allows users to open and close the door using voice commands.
The voice operated technology, using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, is now available on two upgraded models.
Both the FNS 7794 D freezer and K 7797 C Built-in Fridge feature ActiveDoor and boast Miele@home connectivity.

The updated 1780mm built-in freezer can also open automatically by knocking twice on the door and the pressure sensor, opening angle and default door closure can also be customised to suit the user’s needs.
It boasts eight telescopic drawers including Ice and PizzaBox drawers, and this NoFrost model also features a SoftClose door, energy efficient LED lighting, Sabbath mode and Party mode to rapidly cool freezer compartments to accommodate quick cooling of large quantities of food and drinks).
While the built-in fridge comes with four shelves, three crisper drawers, , CleanSteel dry back wall, FlexiTray and five door shelves.
The refrigerator boasts PerfectFresh Active with an automatically controlled temperature zone that operates between 0 and 3˚C for meat, fish and dairy products.
It also comes with DynaCool for an even temperature throughout, FlexiLight 2.0, ComfortClean door shelves designed for easy cleaning, SuperCool, Sabbath/Party/Holiday modes and FreshTouch controls.
The collection also features new 1780mm models, energy efficiency upgrades across the range and SoftClose doors on selected designs.
Miele has opened its seventh Experience Centre in Mayfair, London, which features the company’s latest kitchen appliances.
