Developed and manufactured by Mira Showers, the Advance Heatloop is reportedly the first electric shower to work with Recoup waste water heat recovery systems for showers (WWHRS).
It follows the acquisition of waste water heat recovery specialist Recoup by Kohler Mira, parent company of Mira Showers.
While showering represents around 50 to 75% of household hot water use, around 85% to 90% of the heat energy in shower water is lost down the drain.

When installed in conjunction with a Recoup Pipe Hex system, Mira reports annual savings of up to 40% can be achieved using the Advance Heatloop.
While conventional electric showers are not able to adjust to changes to elevated incoming water conditions, the Mira Advance Heatloop features intelligent monitoring which automatically adjusts power based on the incoming conditions.
Recycling the energy from WWHRS, the Advance Heatloop adapts to fluctuations in temperature and flow, avoiding sudden cold or scalding blasts.
It can be installed alongside a Recoup waste water heat recovery unit as part of a shower installation with the Recoup Heatdeck or even over a bath.
