Leeds-based kitchen manufacturer Moores, has raised over £1,300 for its chosen charity of the year, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, in just two months into its fundraising mission.

Moores charity cycle for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Most recently, service delivery manager Derick Tillett embarked on ‘The Tour de Appleton’s’, which saw him cycle 45 miles between four branches of Appleton’s Pie Shops, in Ripon, Boroughbridge, Knaresborough and Wetherby.

Surpassing his original goal of £500, Derick raised over £1,100 through this venture alone and is now hoping to make it an annual event following the success.

His money adds to internal fundraisers by members of the Moores team such as Wear it Yellow Day and an eco-drive, where preloved items were donated to the charity.

Moores is now gathering a team to take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September, amongst organising other fundraising initiative such as a Big Yorkshire Day Raffle.

Last year, Moores raised £8,800 for Yorkshire Cancer Research across several fundraising activities and challenges.
