It is joined by Series 4 and 6 ovens with Airfry and steam functions, and Series 8 washing machine with microplastic filter, which reportedly saves 50% more energy than an A category model.
While for Siemens, Diamondprotect Ceran glass features on its new hobs, including iQ500 induction hob with integrated extractor, and supported by hob assistant through the Home Connect app.
It is joined by the iQ700 oven which can now recognise double the amount of dishes, using AI and built-in camera, to set optimal cooking and chosen browning level.
Head of sales central Europe Enrico Hoffmann commented: “This year’s 100th anniversary of IFA provides a unique environment to present new technologies from our brands Bosch and Siemens that meet our consumers’ needs while addressing important trends like artificial intelligence and energy efficiency.”
BSH is celebrating its Home Connect anniversary with new features, including Smart Start, which automates the operation of home appliances based on the highest share of renewable energy in the power grid or electricity prices.
For consumers who do not use dynamic electricity rates yet, BSH has partnered with the green energy provider Tibber to offer discounted rates and thus encouraging the use of renewable energy.
Additionally, consumption statistics provide consumers with an overview of their water and electricity consumption, forecasting use and helping monitor the condition of their appliance, detecting maintenance issues early.
BSH’s rental initiative, BlueMovement, also announces the expansion of its rental model to B2B customers and the extension of the product range to include other Bosch business areas such as Power Tools and Smart Home.
At IFA, BSH has also launched the Matter-enabled XXL built-in fridge-freezer combination for both the Bosch and Siemens brands.
According to the company, the new Matter connectivity standard will enable fast and easy cross-brand connectivity in the future.
Matter-compatible appliances can be controlled via apps and technologies, either actively or automated and self-controlled in the background.
