Luxury kitchen specialist Silver Birch Interiors has purchased a property in Livingston, marking an expansion to the East of Scotland.
The expansion is part of the Hamilton-headquartered company’s wider plans to “significantly” scale, targeting over £5million revenue within the next 12 months.
The property, which will undergo a six-figure refurbishment, is set to become a state-of-art 1,500sqft showroom and office facility scheduled to open Spring/Summer of 2025.

Located at the Livingston Designer Outlet, approximately 30 minutes from Edinburgh, Silver Birch Interiors believes it will help attract talent and establish relationships with developers, architects and clients based in the east of Scotland.
The announcement follows Silver Birch Interiors being named Scotland’s Best Kitchen Company at the Scottish Home Improvement Awards for the third consecutive year and the fifth time in seven years.
Silver Birch Interiors has also scooped first prize for the ‘International Best Kitchen Design’ at Nolte Küchen GmbH & Co. KG’s awards.
In addition, founder and managing director of the business Alan Macgregor formed part of the latest cohort for The Hunter Foundation’s Scale Up Scotland as he seeks to take the business to the next level of growth.
During the last 10 years, Alan has grown the business to over 16 employees and increased revenue year-on-year by approximately 35%.
Silver Birch has progressed from working with individual clients refurbing their own homes to securing contracts with a variety of developers, including Cala Homes, one of Scotland’s largest developers.
Alan Macgregor commented: “I founded Silver Birch with the mission of transforming lives through the creation of exceptional living spaces.
“I’m delighted to have now acquired this new property in Livingston which will significantly support our ambitious growth plans for the business.
“Expanding our presence to the east of the country will allow us to work with a wider pool of retail clients, trusted trade partners and the finest builders and developers to provide luxury, inspirational kitchens throughout Scotland.”
