Harvey Jones is also set to open an out-of-town development opening in three weeks’ time.

Commenting on why Harvey Jones has chosen an out-of-town location, for the first time, marketing director Amy Smith said: “It’s about how consumers are changing the way they shop.

“We know it’s difficult for people to get into a high street, so we considered how can we get to more people and make it easier for them to come to us.

“We really want our showroom to be an enjoyable experience and that starts with parking. It has free parking, which is really important for us.”

She teased: “We may, or may not, be working with Heal’s on our new location as well”, adding “This isn’t going to be the last time you see us in a Heal’s space.”

Harvey Jones currently has a network of 25 showrooms nationwide, spanning from as far north as Edinburgh and as south as Winchester, and Heal’s has seven stores.

For the past 47 years, the kitchen specialist  has handcrafted premium furniture from its workshop in Cambridgeshire.

Since the beginning of the year, Harvey Jones has been under new ownership following a pre-pack agreement and has undergone a brand refresh, with a new tagline “designed for life, built for living”.

Amy Smith explained: “We are very different from the Harvey Jones of old. We’re going through a brand refresh, at the moment, and the showrooms are at the start of that process.”
