Luxury bathroom retailer C.P. Hart has unveiled its roomset collaboration with designer Matthew Williamson, at its flagship Waterloo showroom in London.

Starting his career in fashion, Williamson is known for his love of colour.

He pivoted into interior design, creating homeware collections.

However this is the first time he has entered the bathroom sphere.

Commenting on the design, Williamson said: “Bathrooms often feel cold and clinical with functionality dominating aesthetics, so I envisioned a warm, inviting space that functions as well as delights.”

In the roomset, he curated a selection of C.P. Hart’s bathroom ranges with his distinctive, hand- sourced treasures.

It includes a  vintage mouth-blown Murano glass light above IdeaGroup’s new Seven freestanding bath; a bespoke mirror and Buto’s fluted Galiano vanity.

In addition it boasts artwork selected by WIllamson which mirrors the bright hues of Inclusion Classico tiles.

“Living in the coastal village of Deià, I was influenced by the local Mallorcan landscape and Balearic interiors,” Williamson adds.

“The sunset’s pink-gold glow inspired the palette; sand-toned terrazzo, blush pink marble and concrete, rosewood, plaster walls, brass, and rattan.”

C.P. Hart’s director of design Yousef Mansuri added: “Creating this room set was a wonderfully collaborative process.

“Matthew brought a clear and inspiring vision to the project, and from there, we meticulously refined the details, thoughtfully selecting each product and finish to ensure they harmonise beautifully whilst retaining their stand- out appeal.”

Founded in 1937 by Charles Percival Hart, C.P Hart is owned by merchant group Wolseley and has 15 inspirational showrooms across the UK, including its 18,500sq flagship showroom at London’s Waterloo.
