Established in 1975 in Barry, South Wales, Sigma 3 Kitchens has grown from a family-run workshop to employing 230 staff, with manufacturing and “robust” retail presence.

One of its milestones was the acquisition of Mereway Kitchens from administration in 2023.

With a Trustpilot 5-star rating for its Sigma 3 retail showrooms, it has also created the Masterclass furniture brand, including the Signature collection of bespoke style storage, through to classic and modern kitchens.

As part of its 50th-anniversary celebrations, the company is marking the occasion with an £20million investment project.

This initiative will triple the company’s manufacturing capacity, resulting in a combined production space of 200,000 square feet.

Chairman and founder Brian Lakin said: “Celebrating 50 years in business is a proud moment for the entire Sigma 3 family.

“Our journey has been one of constant evolution, and our success is a testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of our people.

“As we look to the future, our ongoing investment will lay the foundations for even greater achievements, allowing us to better serve our customers and maintain our position as an industry leader.”
