Haier ranked No 1 Global MDA brand for 16th year

Appliance brand Haier has been ranked the No 1 Global Major Appliances Brand by Euromonitor International, for the 16th consecutive year.

Appliance brand Haier has been ranked the No 1 Global Major Appliances Brand by Euromonitor International, for the 16th consecutive year.

Haier named No 1 Global MDA brand

The milestone includes being the No 1 global brand for refrigeration for the past 17 years and No 1 global brand for home laundry for the last 16 years.

In addition, Haier has been the No 1 brand for wine coolers and chillers for the past 15 consecutive years and has led, globally, in freezers for 14 consecutive years.

The company, which has recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, reports success is underpinned by a commitment to global expansion.

Recent developments include opening an air conditioning factory for a Chinese brand in Thailand and expanding its Eco Park in Egypt to bolster growth in the Middle East and North Africa.

In addition, Haier has made strategic acquisitions of Electrolux’s South African water heater brand and Carrier Commercial Refrigeration.

With a presence in over 200 countries, Haier serves over 1 billion households worldwide.
