US manufacturer Vadara Quartz Surfaces is launching into the UK, as part of a global expansion.
The company, based in Austin, Texas, makes handcrafted and artisan surfaces which will be sold through distributor The Thomas Group and its brand The Surface Collection.
Having served the UK since 1946, The Thomas Group will provide a curated colour palette, diverse range of pricing options, and logistic support to Vadara’s “vertically integrated” supply chain.

Chief operating officer at US Surfaces, Vadara’s parent company, Erik Butler commented: “In the United States, Vadara has built a reputation for quality and innovation, and now is the ideal time to bring tailored solutions to diverse global markets.
“With a focus on meeting unique tastes, budgets, and lifestyles of our customers worldwide, Vadara is ready to expand its footprint and continue its growth internationally.”
Established by industry veterans in 2007, US Surfaces manufactures, markets, and distributes solid-surface sheets and quartz slabs, for residential and commercial applications, including LivingStone Surfaces and Vadara Quartz.
Reported to have studied the landscape in the UK, Vadara is confident it can provide differentiated product to the market with its handcrafted designs “virtually indistinguishable” from natural stone.
VP of global sales & marketing at LE Surfaces, Vadara’s manufacturing counterpart, Andrew Evans stated: “Vadara operates two state-of-the-art plants with 34 production lines to meet the growing global demand for our products effectively.
“By producing our raw materials and maintaining the highest quality control standards, we ensure that we consistently deliver on the needs and expectations of our clients worldwide,” Evans concluded.
The brand has chosen Australia for its next market activation, with an engineered stone range suited to the market.
Andrew Evans explained: “The ruling in Australia bans the use and importation of engineered stone bench tops that have at least 1% crystalline silica content.
“In response to this, we have created a quartz formulation that will be less than 1% crystalline silica, but does not change the aesthetics or performance of our products.
“Our offering in the UK will be our standard quartz offering.”
Vadara is also exploring further growth opportunities across Europe, Southeast Asia, South America, and other “high-potential” regions.
