Norwegian design studio Snøhetta also created company’s HQ showroom
Created by Norwegian design studio Snøhetta, which also created the company’s showroom at its HQ near Basel, in Switzerland, the stand will be located at C50 and C70.
Laufen will showcase its latest innovations while underlining the company’s commitment to the responsible use of raw materials and water-efficient solutions.

A major highlight of the stand will be a display of ceramics fired without carbon emissions in reportedly the “world’s first” CO2-free electric kiln at the Laufen plant in Gmunden, Austria.
The innovative kiln marks a “significant step” towards the Group’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2045.
Upon entering the stand, visitors will experience Matter Space, which will connect them with the production process and raw materials of ceramics.
They will then journey through a variety of spaces: Our Planet Matters, Water Matters, Technology Matters, Democracy Matters and Atmosphere Matters, each featuring products and concepts.
Our Planet Matters will include the water-saving save! toilet with a urine separator, developed in collaboration with Austrian design studio EOOS.
While in Technology Matters, Laufen will present new connected products and digital concepts, exploring how today’s bathroom can become a personalised living space.
A standout attraction of Atmosphere Matters is expected to be the new Arun furniture collection (top and above left), featuring real-wood oak and walnut veneers combined with ceramic stone-look countertops.
While Democracy Matters Elsewhere will demonstrate stylish bathrooms can be accessible to all, with its Base 2.0 and Juna furniture collections.
“What Laugen and Snøhetta share is a commitment to sustainable solutions.
“Just as Snøhetta integrates the latest research in regenerative and sustainable architecture into its designs, LAUFEN sets new standards with CO2-free production.
“The new electric tunnel kiln in Gmunden highlights impressive innovation in sustainability,” said Patrick Lüth, partner at Snøhetta and managing director of its Innsbruck studio.
