Bathroom giant Roca Group has received the Platinum medal from EcoVadis, its highest sustainability rating.
Over 150,000 companies from 185 countries have been assessed by the organisation and the Platinum Medal is awarded to the top 1% of companies evaluated during the year.
EcoVadis evaluates sustainability across 21 criteria in four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Its corporate sustainability ratings are based on international standards such as the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and ISO 26000.
These ratings not only provide evidence-based performance analysis but also an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
Commenting on the accolade, senior managing director of sustainability and institutional relations at Roca Group Carlos Velázquez said: “Being part of the top 1% worldwide is a significant recognition of our team’s work and the positive impact we are making globally.
“We see sustainability as an ongoing journey, and this achievement strengthens our determination to push boundaries, foster transformational change in the business world, and continue advancing toward a more sustainable future.”
The bathroom industry has demonstrated its strength in sustainable business practices, with Hansgrohe also achieving Platinum Medal status.
