German granite sink manufacturer opens US subsidiary
Granite sink manufacturer Schock has opened a subsidiary and warehouse in Pennsylvania, USA, to establish an independent distribution network.
Sven-Michael Funck, marketing and export director at Schock, commented on the move: “Having operated in the US with our partner Houzer for the past three years, we are now responding to the market’s renewed growth. This move puts us even more in touch with our customers.”
Funck continued: “We will now be working with our own very large warehouse to enable our customers in North America and Mexico to benefit from the best possible service and short lead times.”

The US subsidiary, Schock North America, will be led by president and CEO Kenneth Fey, who explained the company has developed sink and tap models specific for the country. Fey said: “We’ve developed several sink and tap models for the American market, which will enable us to meet the regional needs even better than before”.
These models will be supported by a product catalogue, available to download now from the Schock North America website.
Schock operates internationally in more than 70 countries world-wide and moved into seven new markets in 2013 alone.
