Team of runners complete Brighton Marathon raising £5,600 for WaterAid
A team of runners from bathroom accessories manufacturer Croydex has celebrated completing the Brighton Marathon, raising £5,600 for charity WaterAid.
The team included commercial director Jon Langford; export sales manager Jason Newman and business development director Julian Williams.
Jon Langford explained why Croydex chose to support the WaterAid charity: “Here in Britain, we tend to take water for granted, yet around one is seven of the world’s population does not have access to safe water and 2.8billion people do not have access to a decent toilet.

“With the bathroom accounting for more than 60% of water used in the home, we are committed to helping people cut down on the amount they use but we also believe we have a wider responsibility to help communities across the world suffering from a lack of water and sanitation. That is why we are supporting WaterAid throughout 2014.
“The marathon was a great team effort. Most importantly, we raised money to help make a profound difference to the lives of people who otherwise deprived of something as simple as safe drinking water.”
This marathon fundraising effort by Croydex follows a four-day treadmill challenge by the team at kbbBirmingham, where the runners ran the equivalent of a marathon every day of the four-day event.
