Wirquin wins two awards and a finalist in two categories
Sanitary specialist Wirquin won two awards and was named a finalist at the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards, held at Doncaster Racecourse.
The company scooped Excellence in Overseas Trade for moving into new markets, its sales achievements, product development and approaches to international sales.
Wirquin was also presented the Excellence in Innovation and Diversification category for its approach to business and diversification with products and entering markets.

In total, the company was shortlisted in four award categories including Large Business of the Year and managing director Gwenhael Le Coent was runner-up in Business Person of the Year (36 years and over).
Gwenhael Le Coent commented: “It is a tremendous accolade for us to be locally recognised and celebrated for our business excellence in the South Yorkshire region.”
He continued: “Wirquin is a young manufacturing business in the UK with successful business growth and strong performance, locally, nationally and internationally.”
Wirquin offers the Celmac and Macdee brands, with a product range that includes WC seats, flushing mechanisms, cisterns, frames, wetrooms, traps, wastes and connectors. It invests 5% of its annual turnover into research and development.
