Tiling supplier Domus is set to unveil the Hosting Kitchen, as part a “comprehensive” renovation of its showroom in Battersea, London.
It is the first significant refurbishment of the showroom, since it opened in 2004.
A collaboration with Roundhouse Design and interior design studio Designed by Woulfe, the Hosting Kitchen has been designed to host product showcases, social gatherings and educational events for architects and designers.

The Hosting Kitchen features a full functional kitchen, bar and lounge area with layout and material section to fixture and fittings chosen by Designed by Woulfe.
Roundhouse Design centred on the creation of the kitchen, which serves as the central point of the space.
It features Tailor Made porcelain slabs from Domus, including Domus Yamuna Stone for the worktop, splashback and central cooking island with live Gaggenau appliances for cooking demonstrations.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a bar area, also created by Roundhouse Design, complete with Gaggenau wine fridge and Quooker tap.
Complementing the kitchen area is a bespoke banquette, handmade in Cheltenham by Lyndon and upholstered with fabric from Romo.
This is joined by a custom coffee table by Taylor Made and crafted from Domus porcelain, and Franchi International’s matt bronze switch plates and sockets.
Creating a warm environment, earthy tones of Argile’s Vert de Monteau paint has been used to harmonise the robust surfaces, lighting is from Cameron Design House and J Adams & Co.
Completing the space is hand-painted mural by artist Jan Erika, spanning the kitchen and banquette seating area, depicting faces and figures of the community of creative professionals who will use the space.
CEO of Domus Jon Newey commented: “With the shift in working patterns post-pandemic, we wanted to create a space that offers clients rich and engaging content, whether they choose to experience it in person or online.”
He continued: “Our collaboration with Roudnhouse Design, Brian Woulfe, and our other partners has resulted in a dynamic new environment where we can continue to deliver thought-provoking events that educate and inspire the architecture and design community – a mission that has been at the heart of Domus since our inception.”
Established for over 60 years, Domus has a team of 120 across a network of national showrooms, including two in London, its Surrey HQ and new distribution centre in Rochester, Kent.
