Independent merchant Duftons Plumbing & Heating Supplies has expanded its network, including bathroom showrooms, bringing its total number of branches to 14.

Its two new branches are located in Durham and Stockton-on-Tees, and to celebrate the opening of both branches, Duftons held two Trade Week Launch events.

Over 190 people from the plumbing, heating and bathroom sectors attended the launch events, with 22 suppliers present from companies including Ideal Heating, Polypipe, EPH, Fernox and UK Cylinder etc.

The new Durham branch is one of Dufton’s largest facilities, with an area of 7,000 sq ft. It features a dedicated bathroom showroom and trade counter and renewable energy centre. The Stockton-on-Tees branch is 4,500 sq ft and features a dedicated bathroom showroom and trade counter. 

Duftons claims to be the largest independent Plumbing & Heating Merchant in the North of England and supplies a full range of plumbing and heating supplies to the trade and specialises in bathroom mobility equipment.

It has also expanded energy efficient technologies, with a range of renewable products, including Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs), Underfloor Heating (UFH), Solar Thermal and Solar Photovoltaic (PV).

Development Manager at Duftons Gavin Nesbitt said: “We are delighted to open two new branches in the North East, with Durham and Stockton-on-Tees being ideal locations for our expansion.

 The company now has branches in Leeds, Beeston, Castleford, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Bingley, Bradford, Thirsk and Gildersome, Durham and Stockton-on-Tees.
