Following investment into a washing machine factory, Ebac acquires refrigeration brand
Water cooler manufacturer Ebac has agreed a multi-million pound acquisition and investment deal to preserve the brand and product of Norfrost’s Icetech Freezers.
The acquisition is part of Ebac’s pledge to invest in appliance manufacture, as the company is in the process of developing the production of washing machines.
Norfrost, based in Scotland, fell victim to the collapse of Comet; its equipment will be moved to Ebac’s facility in County Durham. Production is expected to begin by the end of 2013, with up to 100 jobs created in the process. The existing Norfrost range includes freezers from 57 to 204 litre capacities.
