Flooring distributor Headlam Group has consolidated 32 local trading businesses into one brand – Mercado.
Along with its next-day delivery service, the group will enhance its trade counter offer, so customers can order and collect products from any of its outlets, including a new site in Rayleigh, Essex,
Customers will have one national product and price list and ASMs and will be serviced by one dedicated sales representative for retail and contract.

Its redesigned sales team will provide local ASMs with the capability to draw on a national network. A local service but on a national scale.
Alongside these changes, Mercado is also launching a new specialist ecommerce website and app, allowing customers to shop its full product portfolio online.
According to the company, Headlam has fulfilled close to 3.5M orders, equivalent to 41.7Msqm, over the past 12 months.
