KBB retailers agree meeting like-minded peers and gaining a variety of business insights are key reasons to attend the KBB Industry Conference, organised by trade association the Kbsa.
Taking place at Belfry Hotel and Resort, West Midlands, from October 8-9, and including the Designer Awards, this year the conference is themed Empowering and Enhancing Excellence.
“We always like to be at the conference, for many different reasons. First of all, it’s a great way to socialise with other retailers in the industry and suppliers.

“It’s fabulous you can get different perspectives on the industry”, exclaimed design director of J.S.Geddes Joanna Geddes.
Her views were echoed by managing director of Jones Britain Dan Stronge who stated: “There are many reasons to go to the conference. Firstly, it’s just to meet other like-minded people in the industry.
“It can be quite a lonely place out there from a business point of view. Going to the Kbsa Conference just boosts your energy.”
They highlighted discussions, such as AI as being a key takeaway from the Kbsa Conference last year, and a reason for attending the event.
This year’s Kbsa Conference will feature a presentation by national sales manager for the Kitchen Division at Cyncly on how AI can be used to enhance a kbb business.
“I think the kitchen industry will soon be looking at AI as something they need to use or make sure they’re understanding it”, Dan Stonge explained.
Speaking earlier in the year, Joanna Geddes said it would be interesting to have content for sales included in the programme.
This year, the Kbsa conference will feature experienced sales trainer and coach Matt Elwell and master coach, mentor and author Tina Southgate, who has worked with several high profile KBB retailers.
Recommending all retailers to attend the Kbsa Conference, Joanna Geddes stated: “All the topics are relevant, whether you’re in the Kbsa or not.
“I think after you go to the conference, it would certainly encourage you to want to be part of that group of people”, she exclaimed.
