With days left to enter the 2024 HIP Female Skills Competition, which recognises talent in the plumbing and heating industry, Grohe is encouraging entries for the event.
For the second year in a row, Grohe will be headline sponsor with the GIVE (GROHE Installer Vocational Training and Education) Program.
Alongside providing skills and encouraging young professionals into the industry, the GIVE Program wishes to encourage more women to join the industry.

According to Grohe, it’s been found through recent studies less than 3% of the 150,000+ UK plumbers are female.
Level 2 and 3 plumbing & heating learners have until midnight on November 30, 2023, to enter the competion, which is expanding its reach from two to three regions across the UK.
The competition will see entrants compete in a live practical installation, showcasing their skills and competing for prizes, including Grohe bestselling products.
The competition is due to take place throughout February and March 2024 and will end with a grand finale, where regional winners and runner-ups will go head-to-head to win the accolade.
On its headline sponsorship, leader of GIVE Program LIXIL EMENA Christopher Penney said, “It’s so important we come together as industry leaders to help bridge the gap between skilled installers.
“Obviously, we know there’s a huge gap in the workforce currently and the fact that this is an all-female competition is a huge positive for the industry and a step in the right direction.
“We want to set new industry standards with our products and also the people that install them, and the more women we can entice into this industry, the better.”
