Appliance manufacturer Haier celebrated 40 years in business at an event themed “Evolution Begins with Connection, Ecosystems Know No Boundaries” in Qingdao, China.

From its beginnings as a refrigerator factory in Qingdao in 1984, Haier now serves customers in more than 160 countries and regions.

It has a diverse portfolio of energy efficient and Smart Home products, as well as ecosystems, including artificial intelligence.

Haier has held No.1 position in Euromonitor’s Global Major Appliances Brand Rankings for 16 consecutive years.

Reflecting on Haier’s journey, chairman of the Board and CEO of Haier Group Zhou Yunjie said, “Since Chairman Zhang founded Haier in 1984, our journey has been defined by sincerity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
