KBB firms in Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland are battening down the hatches following a red weather warning issued ahead of Storm Éowyn.
Suppliers and retailers in the impacted areas have closed offices and showrooms, and are working remotely until the storm eases, which is expected later today (Friday, January 24).
Kitchens International, Flair, Classic Showers and Aqualla and Adamsez are among the companies who took to LinkedIn to announce their plans for the red weather warning, for the protection of their staff.

According to the BBC News, millions of people received an emergency phone call over the approaching Storm Éowyn.
A statement provided by Aqualla and Adamsez, and which was in a similar vein to notices from KBB business in the impacted regions, read: “Due to the weather warning and potential severity of Storm Éowyn, our offices and warehousing will be closed on Friday 24th January.
“The decisions has been made to ensure the safety of our colleagues.
“Your Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) remain available and are happy to assist with any queries during this time.
“Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.’
The Met Office issued a red weather for Northern Ireland, Central Tayside & Fife, South West Scotland and Lothian Borders and Strathclyde.
While the remaining areas of Scotland have been issued with an Amber warning, as well as across North East and North West England, Yorkshire and Humberside, and East Midlands. The rest of the country has been issued a Yellow warning.
Red Weather warnings are announced when there are “very dangerous” conditions with a risk to life and “significant” disruption.
Winds are expected to gust up to 80-90mph, widely, and up to 100mph on exposed western coasts, according to the UK’s weather and climate service.
It could see flying debris, fallen trees on roads, power cuts, damage to buildings and homes, roads, bridges and railway lines closed, with delays and cancellation to travel and large waves in coastal areas.
People in the affected areas are advised to secure loose items outside the home, such as garden furniture and bins, stay indoors if they can, and avoid the coast and travel.
The Met Office reports winds are expected to gradually ease from the South through Friday afternoon.
