Sales director of kbb Birmingham points out how the 2016 event has grown
Sales director for KBB Birmingham Jon Johnston explained as early as 2012, the organiser of the show realised 2016 was “going to be a good one”.
Kbb Birmingham, which takes place at the NEC from March 6-9, has seen an increase in floorspace of 40%, with a rise of 30% in exhibitor numbers now totalling 350 brands.
The return of major appliance brands such as BSH, Samsung and AEG have been cited as “a significant part” of the show’s growth.

However, Jon Johnston pointed out the volume of exhibitors have grown across all sectors, including bathrooms, and the organiser has looked at attracting businesses from a range of sectors from across Europe.
Johnston commented: “We’ve taken a really broad brush and looked at some of the sectors that needed a greater range, like kitchen furniture, for instance, component manufacturers and bathrooms – in particular – we are starting to see the confidence return, particularly in showers.”
