Kitchen retail franchise Kutchenhaus has opened its first showroom in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, with the town’s mayor Councillor Margaret Notley presiding over the ribbon-cutting ceremony at a VIP event.
The showroom features 1,600ft of retail space, six full kitchen displays, as well as three presentation areas, two entertainment units and an office display. It includes appliances from brands such as AEG, Neff, Bora and Caple.
Owner Zunair Shahid invited local businesses and brand partners to a champagne reception, to find out more about the team and company.

An AEG home economist also used a working kitchen display to provide canapes, as well as offer cooking advice to guests.
Zunair Shahid has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, working in design and project management and during this time has delivered over 2,500 finished kitchens.
There are five team members at Kutchenhaus Stevenage, and the business will be managed by Chris Blyth, who has worked with Shahid several times during his 16 years in the kitchen industry.
Commenting on the showroom opening, Zunair Shahid said: “I am thrilled to be opening a new showroom in Stevenage.
“The team has worked extremely hard over the last two months to transform the space and we are looking forward to welcoming customers in to see our range of displays.
“It’s always been a dream to open my own business. I’ve been looking for the right opportunity over the last five years and this is the perfect place to do this, offering a high-quality, bespoke product and bringing a wealth of experience to a fantastic area.”
Now with over 50 franchises in the UK, Kutchenhaus is rated ‘Excellent’ on Trustpilot after reaching its 1,000th review, and is owned by European kitchen manufacturer Nobilia.
