Kitchen and bathroom distributor PJH has set a new fundraising target of £15,000 in its continued partnership with Macmillian Cancer Support.

The company exceeded its original ambition of £10,000, through activities of its staff across the UK, and has already raised over 33% of its £15,000 goal.

PJH also promises to match every £1 raised by colleagues, up to a value of £10,000.

Recent fundraising achievements of PJH staff include a Coast to Coast cycle challenge completed by depot manager at PJH’s Thirsk site Nicola Price and solutions delivery manager at PJH’s Bolton site John Travis.

The pair cycled 127 miles from Workington in the Lake District, to Sunderland in Tyne & Wear, raising £1000.

Meanwhile, warehouse supervisor at PJH’s Cannock site, Stephen Lloyd took on an Ultra White-Collar Boxing (UWCB) challenge in Wolverhampton.

As a complete novice, Stephen completed eight weeks of intensive training, and then took to the boxing ring raising over £400,

In addition, employees have hosted bake sales, Fantasy Football leagues, Strictly Come Dancing sweepstakes, and festive celebrations such as Christmas jumper days.

The annual Macmillan Coffee Morning has also played a role, with colleagues across all sites contributing home-baked treats, raising funds while strengthening the company’s sense of community.

Reflecting on the fundraising activities, PJH’s head of marketing & product Kim Cooper commented on the fundraising efforts: “We’re thrilled with the success of our on-going partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and the incredible response from our colleagues.
