Online bathroom retailer Plumbworld has scooped the ‘From Little to Large’ trophy at the 2020 eBay for Business Awards.
Plumbworld was shortlisted among 32 companies, across 10 categories for the awards, which celebrate British small and medium-sized businesses.
Plumbworld’s ‘From Little to Large’ award highlights the Evesham-based business’s success on the eBay platform, where revenues have grown from £100,000 a month in 2017 to now over £1.2 million per month – an increase of over 1000%.

Trading manager at Plumbworld Nick Dunkley commented on the company’s success: “With the global pandemic, we’re finding that buyers are spending more time at home, they’re bringing their renovation projects forward and we’ve seen a huge increase in sales.
“At the start of lockdown in April, we had a record month of £1.2 million, and on eBay alone, we sent out 16,000 orders.
“I’m proud of the fact that we’ve grown this from something relatively small to the size it is now. The warehouse has had to grow with that, and it’s created jobs.
“Currently, on eBay we have 4,500 listings, so ensuring they’re all well optimised and being traded to their full potential is quite challenging. It’s a nice problem to have.
“To win this award is nice recognition for everyone in the Plumbworld team.”
Plumbworld, which opened its first eBay shop in 2004, now has a 99% feedback rating.
The ‘Little to Large’ award was selected by a panel of expert judges, including Chris Dawson, editor of Tamebay, and money editor at the Daily Mail Victoria Bischoff, .
The nominees were chosen from more than 1,200 entries and the winners each received a £5,000 cash to boost their business.
