Kitchen distributor PWS has opened its North East hub and enhanced its delivery service with a dedicated fleet, to make its deliveries more efficient.

PWS open North East Hub enhances delivery service

The North East hub will help optimise routes and reduce transit times for its products, including its latest launch of ceramic worktops.

Partnering with transport provider Silver X Group, PWS will use a fleet of mostly three-year old vehicles or less from 7.5tonnes to 18 tonnes.

These vehicles are equipped with tail lifts and pump trucks, to minimise the need for assisted delivery.

PWS will now offer morning delivery updates for goods out on delivery, real-time tracking, rescheduling options and feedback opportunities following delivery.

Chief executive of PWS Mark Stephenson commented: “We have implemented these updates to reflect our commitment to providing seamless delivery solutions for our customers and for their customers as well.

“With an advanced fleet, improved tracking system and a strategic new hub expansion, we are dedicated to creating a delivery experience which is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

“Consistently striving for improvement in all areas of the business, we will continue to develop our services to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
