Cosentino used kbbBirmingham to introduce Dekton to the kitchen industry
Cosentino used a 130sqm stand at kbbBirmingham to showcase its Dekton surfacing, which won the Kitchen category of the show’s Innovation Awards.
More than 22,000 hours of research and a multi-million Euro investment has resulted in a surfacing which uses particle sintering technology. Cosentino says this means Dekton is impact, scratch and UV-resistant, meaning it can be used outdoors as well as indoors.
Marketing manager of Cosentino UK, Laura Davies explained its relevance to kitchen retailers and designers: “We’ve got SIlestone quartz which is fabulous, Dekton just offers something a bit different. It does exteriors…You’ve got these lovely kitchens that go from the inside out to the decking area. It can be used for absolutely anything because it is so, so strong.”
