Head of specification at shower surround manufacturer Lakes Showering Spaces Mick Bone has moved into the role of sales director.

He will now lead sales across its retail and specification customers, working with the company’s team of regional sales managers.

Mick Bone joined the shower enclosure manufacturer in June 2022 as specification manager, having worked for Crosswater as director of group projects – Bathroom Brands.

His latest move has been described as a “logical step” for Bone and the business, with Lakes supporting the internal development of its team.

Commenting on his new role, Mick Bone said: “It’s a really exciting time to take on this role – we’re moving in a really positive direction as a company and we are so thankful to all the customers who support us.

“It’s a logical step for me personally and my top priority in the immediate future is to ensure that it’s business as usual.

“We offer good value, high quality products and are easy to do business with – that’s been the key to our strong relationships with customers and will continue to be the case.”

Bone is supported by business development manager Alita Gregg, head of product development Marten Baker and newly-appointed specification manager Pete Ward. 

Managing director of Lakes Showering Spaces Mike Gahir said: “Mick has become such a crucial member of our team since joining two years ago and we’re delighted to see him progress into the role of sales director.

“He completely understands the needs of our customers and how we factor into that our brand values – I am sure he will excel in his new role.”
