Bathroom manufacturer Roca has unveiled a Smart Shower which can be controlled via an app, so users can use a phone or tablet to turn it on from their bedside and allow the water to warm up.
The app also allows users to monitor their consumption of water and energy, and therefore encourages them to save these resources.
Able to store settings of three people in a household, users can set shower duration, maximum temperature and flow rates based on individual need.

It is also equipped with a child safe mode, so children can only turn the shower on or off and has a temperature monitoring system to eliminate the risk of scalding.
The Smart Shower also includes a Legionella cleaning programme to eliminate bacteria without the use of chemical products.
Operating by touch sensitive buttons and boasting an LCD screen, the Smart Shower can be installed with two or three outlets including a Raindream showerhead, handset and Puzzle jets.
The Smart Shower from Roca can operate two outlets simultaneously, if required.
