Combining an expo, talk, installations and social networking opportunities, hotel design event HIX takes place at London’s Business Design Centre on November 27-28.
This year themed as ‘sense of place’ , the one-stop shop for trends and ideas that inspire hotel design, which in turn influence residential bathrooms, HIX will include an exhibition of over 160 brands.
Welcoming the entire supply chain – from architects and designers to investors, operators, specifiers, projects managers and developers – last year welcomed 4,280 guests.

1. Bagnodesign
Bagnodesign will return to HIX, which will see the launch of Japandi-inspired bathroom collection Nara.
It focuses on organic materials such as wood, bamboo and stone, and includes Bagnoquartz baths, basins, furniture, mirrors and lighting.
This collection will be joined by PVD finishes Oyster and Soft Burgundy, with display walls and surfaces with tiles from Solus Ceramics.
2. Toto
Japanese bathroom brand Toto will exhibit for the first time at HIX, showcasing its flagship washlet on a 45sqm stand.
Architects Squire & Partners will create the installation, which will feature a sensory zone illuminated by the glow of the washlet and a Tea House.
The installation will reference Japanese motifs and construction, including the use of shoji screens made from architectural woven wire and wood mesh, instead of traditional rice paper, to delineate the space.
3. Schlüter-Systems
Waterproofing specialist Schlüter-Systems will showcase its portfolio, which includes underfloor heating, tile trims, shower profiles, shelves and waterproofing.
It will highlight its Schlüter-Liprotec illuminated profiles for ceramic or natural stone coverings.
Also on show will be Schlüter-Kerdi Board, a fully customisable prefabricated washbasin, Schluter-Shelf in five shapes and Schluter-Kerdi-Line-G3 horizontal linear drain.
4. Grant Westfield
Wall panel company Grant Westfield is taking a space twice the size of its stand last year, and will be positioned in a premium position at the show.
The stand will include its brands Naturepanel and Multipanel, along with a collaboration with an interiors retailer.
In addition, Grant Westfield will be showcasing its Visualiser tool, to allow designers to view the company’s products and compare differing products side-by-side, as well as EPD Calculator tool.
5. Dornbracht
Returning to HIX, Dornbracht will reveal a Brushed light Gold finish and will focus on its capabilities for bespoke hospitality projects.
MEM will be displayed in the latest finish, alongside Vaia in Brushed Bronze, which are the first finishes from the company’s new PVD production line, and Madison in Dark Platinium.
Christian Sieger, owner of Sieger Designs, which is responsible for many Dornbracht fitting creations, will be on stand for a meet and greet on November 27.
6. Alape
Washbasin manufacturer Alape is presenting its latest Nib, Tendo and Tricolour models, at HIX.
Made from glazed steel, Nib seemingly balances on a point, whereas Tendo features a tilting shape mirroring the shape made by hands when scooping water.
Completing the trio is Tricolor with its contrasting colours and surfaces.
7. Laufen
First shown in Milan, Colour Archaeology will be brought to life through curated room sets on the Laufen stand.
This presentation at the show will feature a new colour palette, the outcome of an academic research project led by Roberto Sironi.
Drawing inspiration from over 10,000 artifacts housed in museums around the world, Sironi has categorised these treasures into colour clusters that reflect their cultural origins.
Working alongside the Laufen innovations team, they have crafted a refined palette, which allow designers to anchor spaces in rich historical context, offering sustainable, timeless design.
8. Villeroy & Boch
Villeroy & Boch will be exhibiting at HIX, at its permanent showroom which it opened last year, in Suites 312, 313, and 314 within the Business Design Centre.
On display during HIX will be popular collections including Antao, Finion, Artis, ViClean 200, Subway 3.0, and ViConnect, alongside a wide selection of premium taps.
Visitors will also have a chance to explore the Architectura range, which includes a sleek washbasin, stylish mirror, and modern furniture for optimising storage and design.
In addition to the product displays, Villeroy & Boch will host exclusive crafting workshops each day of the show.
9. Grohe
Returning to HIX for the fourth consecutive year, this year Grohe will launch its first UK Specification Hub.
Taking permanent residence on the second floor of the London Business Design Centre, it has been created as a dedicated space for predominantly A&D customers to see the Grohe portfolio first-hand.
The hub will provide a tactical and personal experience ahead of decision-making.
10. Keuco
Fittings and accessories manufacturer Keuco will showcase its four latest finishes at HiX, made at its electroplating facility in German.
Red Gold, Brass, Titanium Black and Stainless Steel will be offered across selected products from the Edition 400, Edition 11, Collection Moll and Ixmo.
The new colours and finishes have been created for a variety of modern bathroom designs, from large to small and soft to extravagant.
11. Hansgrohe
Hansgrohe will be participating at HIX with a deep-rooted focus on sustainable innovation.
The theme ‘In Touch with our Planet,’ will underpin a variety of activities, including discussion with head of innovation and sustainability Steffen Erath, creator of concept bathroom Green Vision, designed to use 90% less water and energy, introduced at ISH 2023 (pictured).
Stand visitors will also be able to experience an array of Hansgrohe’s holistic bathroom products, Axor colour matching support and see the unveiling of the Axor Student Design competition winner.

They belong to The New Classtone and Fusioncollections which interpret marble and natural stone, respectively, and boast Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology.
Inspired by Ancient Rome, Calacatta Roma (pictured top) pays homage to Italian Carrara marble, with ochre and grey veins in a white background.
While the Cappadocia region, in central Turkey, with its rock formations formed by volcanoes and underground cities, has inspired Cappadocia Sunset (pictured below).

Just like all of Neolith’s surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are resistant to heat and atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not contain added quartz to their formulation.
