Luxury appliance brand Bora has redesigned its Bora Pure X downdraft vented hob from both a visual and a technical perspective.
The new hob features a tricoloured control panel, Assist functions and connectivity to the Bora Joy app, in conjunction with Bora Pots and Pans Assist range.
In terms of cooking technology, whereas the Bora Assist power levels were previously linked to a specific power value, users of the new hob can now set the target temperature.

Developed at the same time as the cooktop, the Bora Pots and Pans Assist kitchenware has been designed for connectivity with the Bora Joy app and, together, they control the temperature and cooking time, in accordance with the Bora Assist recipe.
Alternatively, rather than using their smartphone in the kitchen, users can save their favourite programmes on the hob.
In addition, the vented downdraft hob features a new air inlet nozzle with a pin design but retains its circular opening to offer visual differentiation.
Plus, it offers a choice between high-gloss glass ceramic and matt version (called Bora X Pure Rough) which conceals fingerprints and streaks.
When switched on, the sControl+ slider is blue for the fan and extraction intensity, red when it switches to the individual zones, and white when in neutral.
These guidance colours, along with a longer time when switching between cooking zone and fan settings, have been created to make use of the appliance more intuitive.
Measuring 830 x 515 mm, the hob has an overhauled bridging function, optimised automatic pan selection, and features an activated charcoal filter, with dishwasher safe stainless steel grease filter and air inlet nozzle.
Bora also offers a steam oven with ventilation, plus multi drawer and has recently launched fridge and freezer appliances.
